omg this is real..

We are in New York! We have been here 4 days and are doing well as we get adjusted to our new city. We made it to our storage unit with James’ stellar driving skills while I tried my hardest to keep from screaming while I help navigate. It was insane and I am SO thankful we don’t have to experience that again. (…until we move home of course..) Our good friend Eli met us at our storage unit to help us unload our belongings before heading over to his place, as we would be calling his place home for the next two nights. Eli has been such a wonderful blessing throughout our planning and execution of this move. He has been so excited for us to get here and has been an amazing friend with unwavering support. He makes us coffee in the morning, helps us hail cabs and even insists on sleeping on the couch so we can have his bed for the night. We cannot thank him enough for his kindness and generosity; he has been such a blessing for us!!

We are now in our studio sublet, exactly what we need for the next 2 weeks! Today we met up with our good friend Adam who also just moved into town and we did a few apartment walk-through’s, as we plan on being roommates! (“Come and knock on our door…” :) Note to reader: please expect other 3’s Company references sprinkled throughout this blog.) We saw one place that seemed almost too good to be true and we’re trying not to get excited about it. It’s in a good neighborhood, close to shops, restaurants, subway, DISHWASHER and a living room big enough to do gymnastics. It will be so nice to move in to our own place! Will keep you posted..
