Happy belated 4th of July everyone!! For the 4th James and I celebrated by going to an Albuquerque Isotopes baseball game. The Isotopes are the NM AAA baseball team and are the feeder team into the LA Dodgers. The weather was perfect and we had our fill of hotdogs and beer :) The stadium was pretty cool and we liked the organ music that played throughout the game.. it was like the Simpsons!! haha! After the game there were fireworks which were so fun. On actual 4th of July we went downtown and wandered around the plaza looking at the many tents of native american jewelry and artwork on display. We sat in the grass and had the BEST gyros for lunch, nothing like celebrating the 4th with mediterranean food :) That night we grilled steak, corn on the cob, had fruit salad and made our own potato chips (B dubs style) before meeting up with friends to watch fireworks. Fireworks are legal in Santa Fe so EVERYONE is outside lighting off the real big fireworks in the street.. a little bit different than Denver now a days :) James and I had a great 4th and we loved celebrating in our new town.
